Numerology takes your full birth date, adds every digit together, then reduces the result by adding again until it reaches a single digit between 1 and 9. Three numbers skip that final reduction: 11, 22, and 33, known as master numbers, each carrying its own theme.
Worked example: take April 17, 1993. Written as digits that is 1-9-9-3-0-4-1-7. Adding them gives 1+9+9+3+0+4+1+7 = 34. Since 34 is more than 9 and is not 11, 22, or 33, the calculator adds its digits again: 3+4 = 7. Seven is a single digit, so the life path number is 7, tied in this tool's theme table to insight and analysis. A second example: December 25, 1975. As digits: 1-2-2-5-1-9-7-5, summing to 32, which reduces to 3+2 = 5, the freedom-and-change theme.

One more distinction worth spelling out: a running total that happens to pass through 11, 22, or 33 on its way to a smaller number does not stop early unless it lands there exactly. A birth date summing to 29, for instance, reduces normally to 2+9=11, and 11 is where the reduction stops, since that total is itself a master number rather than a step toward one.
